The Catalogue Raisonné Scholars Association is pleased to invite its members to an evening of conversation and conviviality, in partnership with the Joan Mitchell Foundation. Inspired by some of the stunningly attractive publications produced in recent years, the topic of discussion for this in-person event will be catalogue raisonné design.

Our program will compare the design goals of both print and digital catalogues raisonnés, using the Jack Bush and Roy Lichtenstein projects as respective case studies. Representatives from each catalogue will give a presentation on their approaches, based on the specific opportunities and limitations of their chosen output format.

Panel participants

  • Andrea Theil, Roy Lichtenstein Catalogue Raisonné

  • Susannah Shepherd, panOpticon

  • Sarah Stanners, Jack Bush Catalogue Raisonné

  • Barr Gilmore, Barr Gilmore Art + Design

Our speakers will have the opportunity to engage in discussion after sharing individual talks, with Alexandra Keiser (Managing Director for CRSA and Project Director of the Joan Mitchell Catalogue Raisonné) acting as moderator. Questions will be taken from the audience at the end of the program, followed by a social hour with drinks and light bites for all attendees.
